The M2/M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle took combat to a total new level when it was introduced as a compliment to the M1 Abrams tank. Up right up until the time of its introduction the M113 Armored Personnel Carrier was utilized to transport troops to enemy contact. It was lightly armored and armed with a machine gun which was mostly utilised for safety.
